About Us

Who We Are

The Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) is a principal interface Organization for State and non- State Institutions with a mandate to Initiate, Organize, Advocate & Harmonize all Sustainable Development Initiatives and Humanitarian Interventions. The statutory goal of the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) is to drive sector speciﬁc programmes in line with United Nation sustainable development goal, humanitarian principles, conventions, treaties and protocols; this we do by ensuring proper programme implementation across board.

In view of our broad based approach, NIHA represent the country’s stakeholders in national, regional and International humanitarian and development fora, while also proﬀering solutions and answers to humanitarian challenges and development needs aﬀecting the Nation.

To Facilitate and Coordinate Funding Policy Instrument aimed at Supporting Humanitarian Activities, National Emergency and Social Enterprises

Facilitating Networking, Information and Data Gathering and Management with the Goal to disseminate such Data within the Social Sector and with External Agencies

To Collaborate and Partner in Implementing most Social Enterprises and Humanitarian Initiatives by State and non-State Actors by Ensuring Effectiveness of Operations

Build Institutional Capacity for State and Non- State actors through human capacity development and organizational development instruments

To Research and Develop, Monitor and Evaluate National Policy Framework for the Effective Delivery of Social Services

To Prepare and Plan Long-Term Effective Measures and Mechanisms for the Prevention, Reduction and Quick Response to Social and Humanitarian Faultlines that Occur in the Country.

To Inform and empower to create a positive public policy environment that best supports state and non-state actors in advancing their missions.
