Governance

The Governance Structure of the Nigerian Action (NIHA) is organized in administrative and non-administrative structure.-

Non-Administrative Structures

The Board of Trustees/Board of Directors, Country Governance Group (CGG), National  Executive Council,  State Executive Council  and  Area  Council  Executive Council,  Office  of  the  Chief Humanitarian. The structure also has non-administrative Office which are Office of the   Humanitarian Elders’ Council, the Office of the Humanitarian Coordinators and Office of the Executive Directors which are designated to the 6 geopolitical regional blocks, 36 states including FCT, the 109 senatorial zones statewide and the 774 local government council.  (Zonal Humanitarian Coordinator, State Humanitarian Coordinator, State Zonal Humanitarian Coordinator and Humanitarian Chieftain – 774 Area Councils, Assistant Humanitarian Chieftain – 8,809 Wards..

Administrative Structure

Administrative Structure at the national level encompasses the Nigeria Humanitarian Action Secretary General, Nigeria Humanitarian Action Deputy Secretary General, the Nigeria Humanitarian Action Director of Finance and Administration and Heads of other Directorates.  The administrative structure at the State level encompasses Chief of Party, Deputy, Director of Finance and Administration and Heads of other Directorates.

Sub-State Administrative Structure

Administrative Structure at the sub-state level encompasses the Office of the Assistant Director, Finance and Administration, Heads of other Directorates. The sub-state administrative structure are designates of the 3 Senatorial Zones in the State.

Area Council Administrative Structure

Administrative Structure at the Area Council encompasses the Office of the Head of Party, Deputy Head of Party, Director of Finance and Administration and Heads of other Directorates.

Ward Administrative Structure

The Administrative Structure at the Ward level encompasses Field Offices that are manned by Field Workers as designated by the Directorates.

The Governance Structure of the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) are organized in an administrative quad, which are the Board of Trustees, the Executive Council  (National / State), Country Governance Group (CGG) and the working Group (TWG) – (National / State)

Board Of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) oversees the operations of the organization, ensuring  that  the  public  trust  is upheld,  their  mission  is to  provide  leadership  that  ensures  that  the  Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA)’s mandate and objectives are achieved at every given time. The Board is made up of the Proponent Council which is represented by Save the Future of the African Child (SFAC), National Democracy Stakeholders Group (NDSG) and its chief technical consultant, Da Soul Subsidiaries who created NIHA and revered humanitarians and development experts drawn from NIHA registered Institutional Members.

Executive Council (National Excos /State Excos)

The State Executive Council (EXCO) is the embodiment of the non-administrative and Administrative office at the State level. The Council comprise of office of State Executive Director (SED), Office of the state Administrative Head – Humanitarian Elders Council, Office of the state senatorial zonal administrative Head – Humanitarian Elders Council, Office of the state Humanitarian Coordinator, Office of the State Chief of Party- Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA), Office of the Director Finance and Administration, Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) Executive Director Programme Agency / Commissions.

State Executive Council (EXCO)

The Execative Council  is chaired by the Chief Humanitarian (Chief Executive) – Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) and with its membership drawn from National Facilitators, Regional Executive Directors and State Executive Directors 

Chief humanitarian

Mr. Kletsaint Akor is the Chief humanitarian at the Nigeria Humanitarian Action.  As the founder of the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA),  he  bring on board his visionary straight and purposed driving goals of  building an effective and responsive humanitarian sector in AFRICA.

He is a Development Expert and one amongst the top notch   creative personalities in contemporary Nigeria. He brings on board many years of experience and expertise in managing not for profit organizations.  He is Chancellor of Save the Future of the African Child also known as M-MASS, Convener of the National Democracy Stakeholder Group (NDSG).

Office of the National Facilitators

Office of the national facilitators is statutorily responsible for leading funding initiatives, goodwill support, and monitoring of programs implementations within their respective designated areas. Persons of the facilitators are held of non -state actors organizations registered with the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA). There are Six Designated Facilitators representing the six geo political zones in Nigeria:   South – South, South- East, South- West, and North – Central, North West and North East.

THE WORKING GROUP (NATIONAL/ STATE SECRETARIATE)
Country Governance Group

The Working Group is the administrative and management hub of the Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA). It carries out NIHA day to day administrative duties statewide and at the international offices.

Affairs of the Working Group (NIHA SECRETARIATE) is managed by the Secretary General of NIHA, its Deputy Secretary General and Heads of its Directorate. The Working Group is segmented into National and State office.
